Description of Iridium Wire

As a kind of precious metal, iridium is a member of the platinum family. The surface looks silver-white in slightly yellowness similar to the color of platinum. Due to very high melting point (2447°C), it’s the most corrosion-resistant metal element even known. Due to the features of good thermoelectric performance and high temperature ablation resistance,  the iridium wire has been widely used in high temperature materials such as spark plug electrode, thermocouples, electrical contact equipment and wire welding machines.
